All leads are double bonded, i.e. connector to cable, and also connector to metal parts, for complete watertightness and to prevent water wicking up the strands into the fixture.

Since leads are generally used in the manufacture of a fixture, they are generally not capped. We do recommend that the fixture manufacturer cap them prior to shipment.
