Why is there a new ‘Z’ size in the 54Super kits, in addition to the familiar C, D, E, and F?

To provide a ‘universal’ kit for Canadian airports. In Canada, older cables require an E size, but more recent cables require a D. It has been difficult for users to know what size of kit to use, since they don’t always know in advance which cable a kit will be put on. So the new Z size covers all of the known sizes used in Canada. It may also be of use at airports in other parts of the world, depending on the sizes of cables used. |
