Connector Kits - General |
2. |
Q: |
Why do primary kits provide both a plug and a receptacle, whereas a secondary kit provides only one connector, either a plug, or a receptacle? |
|
|
A: |
Primary connectors are almost always used in pairs, to make a splice or to connect to a transformer. Thus it is most convenient to provide a plug and receptacle together. Secondary connectors are not always used in pairs, so it is more convenient to package them separately. |
